Who’s it best suited for?

Due to the number of players that can play this game, the age and type of game, it is the perfect game to bring out at parties.

Players will learn about certain categories and it is a game that is perfect for those who like party games in general or even trivia games.

Skill – Complexity

The outburst game is designed to get people shouting and guessing and so, there is no real skill involved in playing the game apart from answering fairly easy trivia questions.

The complexity of the game is also very simple as the idea of the game is very basic.

Set Up – Playing Rules & Instructions

Set up is extremely simple with there being cards, a scorebook and a timer. Players can be playing in a matter of seconds.

As individuals or teams, a card is picked and the timer is set and they are then given the topic of the card. On the card, which the players cannot see, is a list of ten items.

The playing team has to guess the words on the card based on the topic before the timer runs out. The winner is determined by the first player or team to reach 60 points.

Versions – Editions

The game is simple enough that over the years it has changed very little although there have been various editions released and other than versions aimed at different countries.

Likes & Dislikes

Players thought that this did the job as a party game but it can become a little flat after a while and it can depend on the group that you’re playing with. However, players did find that it was fast enough to enjoy for a short period of time.

Final Thoughts

This is a simple game that is designed to get people competing and playing this quick fire game. There is no skill, just simple guessing trivia answers on any given topic but that is where the fun begins.

An enjoyable game that does not take up too much playing time.
